Best dog harness for labs!

Does anyone have a good all-around harness for a big lab that they use when running the dog? I know this is a very subjective question, but I am wondering what others use for different types of things. I have found that most pet stores just sell you a harness for pulling a car... or in this case an all-terrn vehicle. They do not sell what I need and am hoping to find something better. I need one for hiking, trl runs, and just general walking. I need it to have a lot of adjustability (including for height, wst, and crotch size), be comfortable and safe, but also functional in the sense that it has some kind of retention and cannot slip or slide off. And of course, I need it to be relatively inexpensive so that I can get a lot of use out of it. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!

Hi, Thanks for your suggestion. We've been using one from Target for the past 3 years now. It's only avlable in black now and has had a few problems, including slipping off but we'll give it another chance when it's on sale in the next week or so. This one seems like it has a bit better construction with a higher wst but it's similar in price: http://www.target.com/p/Target-Kilroy-Lab-Harness-Black-15-1-Pk/1000373587

I love my wst harness too. Unfortunately, they didn't make them for a while, which is why I bought a second-hand one from Target. I know they make a new one now, but I haven't gotten to buy one yet because they don't seem to want to come back into stock.

Thanks for your suggestion, but we already have one. It's just like the one at Target: http://www.kilroylab.com/product-lab-harness.html?gclid=CJUq9w0wBq4CFQodvYwf_VV6Ao. When we use the one from Target, it actually gets better quality.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you guys still get the discount for buying more than 1?

The thing about Kilroy lab is that the second-hand ones are not great, but the new ones they make is great, but the new ones are not yet in stock as you mentioned. I think this may be the same thing that happened for wst harnesses. Hopefully they will come back soon.

Kilroy Lab is also making a new wst harness, but they haven't made one in a long time, so it could be a while before we get to try one.

I agree with the quality of Kilroy lab wst harness. So far, I haven't been disappointed with anything they made. I hope they make some more of them. They seem to be frly easy to sew up and there's also the potential to modify the design to your liking.

I use the one I got from Target. The quality of the one I got from the workshop wasn't great. It's kind of a cheapy-looking thing. The wst harness I got from Kilroy Lab looks like a very nice thing. Plus the cost was a little less for the one I bought from Kilroy Lab.

Maybe a little bit of bias, but I really like the one from Kilroy Lab. They make many things that are really nice and affordable.

Not every part of the world is created equal. If someone were to tell me I should move to China and live in a hut without running water, I'd tell him he's out of his mind.

So with that sd, I do have to ask...why does it matter where I get my clothes? I understand where your coming from and why you are asking, but if I get my clothes in a place that sells good work, but from a bad country, then it would be a waste of money for me to buy the clothes.

Maybe I should have sd that I meant the Kilroy lab one doesn't look very well made, but as for the quality, I can buy that it is and it is still going to be a good product for the price.

I understand where you are coming from and why you are asking. If I lived in a hut and had no running water, I'd tell someone the same thing. If they were to tell me to move to China, I'd tell them the same thing.

However, if I choose to shop for clothes in a country that makes quality products that are well-made, I'm not doing any harm by spending my money there. It's my right as an American to spend my money the way I want to.

If I'm wrong and it does get back to me somehow and someone does tell me to move to China and I want to laugh at them, then so be it. I'll live by that. If it doesn't, then I live by my choice.
